Your Leadership Team considered several items during the March meeting; here are some highlights:
Over the past couple of years many members have shared ideas about ways to obtain financial support for construction of our new building. At the March meeting the Leadership Team decided to form a team to implement the best of these ideas and coordinate them. It will take some dedicated volunteers to be willing to devote the time and effort to this effort to make it successful however. Please consider taking part in this team. Speak to John Dupps or Pastor Marc about joining.
A Ministry Team Charter for the new Congregational Care Team has been prepared. This team will be tasked to maintain closer contact with our members than we have been able to do presently, and to identify needs in our church family that we can provide help with.
Easter worship will be under the tent so that we can observe social distancing and allow singing! Yes we will be singing; something that I’ve been asked about repeatedly.
Though not a part of the team’s meeting, Trinity LC is looking at beginning a “Drive-In” style worship service as a way to be able to safely include singing into our future worship again. This may seem like a step backwards, since we resorted to this last year when we couldn’t meet inside our building. But this would allow social distancing and singing without risking the health of our members, all of which are important in our worship. To accomplish this we will need 4 volunteers to assist with setting up and tearing down the necessary equipment. This will start about 3:30 PM and will likely end before 6:30 PM on one Saturday each month. Let me know if you can help out with this work.
Visitors are always welcome at Leadership Team meetings. Our next one is April 20 at 6:30 PM. If you’d like to address the team about a topic, just let me know.
